Let's Make the Next 50 about

Intentional Community!

I created this website with a series of questions on my mind that flowed from AFR50: What if we created a platform that would help sustain and nurture the sense of Community that was abundant during AFR50?  What if that platform could draw in members of Black Williams who were unable to attend AFR50.  And finally, what if that platform could serve to extend Black Williams to communities that matter to individual members of the Williams Family, and bring relevant communities - communities that are beyond Williams - to Black Williams?

My thinking about these questions reflects how deeply I was touched by the experience that was AFR50.  I am most grateful to Rhon and James Manigault-Bryant, Sharifa Wright '03, and all the sponsoring entities and supportive individuals who made the event possible, and extraordinary.  Thank you!

This website is my humble attempt to create a platform that raises the specter of those What If's? being answered by the Black Community of Williams College.

BW50+ is not the most clever name.  The website is clearly not the latest, nor the prettiest website you will ever see; but it is a start.  How it will evolve, will depend upon you and other members of our Community.

I hope you will join me in exploring the possibilities.

Just think what might be, if we join together, to build Community - Intentionally!
